Baby turns two

How can my sweet little babe be two already?

We had a wonderful fun filled weekend complete with 2 football games, 3 trips to restaurants, and lots and lots of ice cream cones.

Friday we went to our local football game where we cheered on the Engineers to a win... (wait, we had to leave before the end. How did it turn out?) We played and played with sweet Henry until Ella grabbed her blankie and announced that it was time to go home. Next time we'll have our cameras, Ashley :)

Saturday we trekked to Billings to watch Uncle Cavan play football for the Rocky Bears. It was only 98 degrees and we were playing the #2 ranked team in the nation, and the blow up jumping plaything broke right before it was Ella's turn. We love you Cav, and sorry we only made it about 20 minutes into the first half.

After a good nap in an air conditioned car, we picked out an ice cream cone for the ride back. We stopped at The Grand in Big Timber for the traditional birthday dinner. Of course, I had forgotten my camera, and so I missed the whole thing. The falling out of the chair, the eating an entire garden's worth of carrots, and a couple of minor tantrums. (Didn't I say she was a two year old?? :))

Once we got home, it was in the tub for a extra bubbly bath, followed by a couple trips to the toilet to go potty like a big girl! We ended the birthday extravaganza by singing Happy Birthday "one more time" (which is actually about 20 more times in Ella's mind) and opening her birthday present.

A Dora Bike! She was eager to help Spencer put it together, and once it was all ready, Horsey took a seat in the back and they cruised around for a bedtime drive.

And off to sleep went my darling little babe. Happy birthday sweetie. We love you!
