When we were younger, my sisters and I would always play "house." We'd establish our house boundaries, decide who was married and to whom (for Laura it was always "a boy in my class...") and what kind of jobs we had. The set up was really the fun part, and if we ever got around to actually playing, it didn't last long until someone said, "How 'bout I'm the teacher" or "How 'bout I be the mom of you."
Ella's version of house involves "hungee mommy and daddy" and setting them up in different locales to eat. Today her friends (the mom and dad and special dinner guests Dora and Boots) ate outside by the flower bed, last night it was beside our fireplace, and tomorrow I'm guessing they'll eat somewhere behind the couch. It's hard to see in the picture, but they are all sitting in their chairs nicely, eating some hint of lime tortilla chips.
Soon enough, the two will be able to play with eachother! But right now I'm enjoying the snuggle time with Reese... they grow out of THAT pretty quickly.
My favorite is, "Now I'm going to sing the town wake-up song"! Bah ha ha ha ha
