snow days

The making of a pretty good snowy day:

1. Give the cows a cheery "moo" (and "boo") greeting. They weren't too impressed.

(Maybe it's because they're not too excited about "losing" their calves. I don't blame them... I'd be hollering day and night too. I tried to explain that they'd have another one soon... but it must be a hard concept to understand. I am defintely NOT the site expert on bovine psychology.)

2. Check out the busy bees around the ranch. We ran into Spence and Leroy, more than happy to let us join them. We declined.

(I've learned a lot about the jobs you do and do not want to learn as a rancher's wife. You've got to walk a fine line.)

3. Catch snowflakes.

(And try to eat 'em)

4. Show frustration for the inability to catch snowflakes and eat them.

(Thanks to J for originating this move and Grandpa for teaching it!)

5. Catch snowflakes on your eyelashes instead.

(YES! Love this!)

6. Beat Mom in a Ritz-eating contest.

(seriously...)
