spring snow

Dramatic weather for the second day of spring. But, the temperatures weren't too extreme, so when we are knee deep in snow, we might as well venture outside and enjoy it!

Did I mention it was knee deep? Knee deep on me. So these sleds are just for the littles who stand knee high. The problem was that their mama was having a hard time pulling the sleds without accidentally dumping a child into the snow.

So, we moved to building a fort. I mean, building a castle, for princesses. And when I say we, I mean just me. The girls had fun, but I was diving back into my snow engineering skills and constructing this thing of beauty. The walls stood sturdy and tall, and we even made a tunnel! As we were taking off our snow clothes and closing the door, we heard the huge thunderous crash -- the 2 feet of snow had slid off our tin roof and landed precisely in the glorious fort I had constructed. It turned out okay, because our night calver {spencer} decided to plow snow in the wee hours of the morning, and instead of our castle we had huge piles to play in!
