A Tail or Two

Meet Horsey.  Ahem, the new Horsey.  Let me explain.  Horsey has been with us since before Ella was born, and has been her faithful companion for 3 solid years.  He even took a little cosmetic surgery on his tail!  The guy has been in garbage cans, thrown up on, and even a sticky gum situation, and has lived through it all.  But Jenna's state volleyball weekend saw his demise.  You see, Ella and Reese were playing with the little safe in the hotel room (it was Horsey's home) while I was packing our stuff to leave.  A little rushed, I grabbed the last bag and the two girls and headed out.  Three hours later, and on the road home, I realized Horsey was missing, and was most likely in the hotel safe.  So, while my mom and I tried to work our collective magic, I ordered another Horsey online.


After two weeks of no word from the old Horsey, and a new, fluffy Horsey to take his place, I thought I would try to hotel for once last shot.  After a couple calls, I was connected to a very nice lady who said she did indeed have a "well loved" horse with a "snipped tail."  That was it!  She'd send it off in the mail!!

It was a happy day!  Ella opened the little box and was so excited to see her little guy.  We had talked about leaving him in the hotel, and she knew that we were working on getting him home.  Nothing like the comfort of an old pal at Christmastime.

Well, two old pals now.  "Nother Horsey" has taken second to Horsey, and Nother Horsey actually gets a lot of snuggle time with Reese!
