I'm sure, if you've spent more than 5 seconds on this blog you'd know by now that we love our animals. Jackpot is no exception either. Although Ella really likes him, she'd rather feed him and pet him than ride on him. Nonetheless, we wanted to give Hartley and Reese a shot at riding him.

So we found him in the corrals, and as soon as he saw us he made his way over. He loves to be friendly, loves to eat grass (and even took a little nibble of Jen's hand) and is always in the thick of it. While I love our horses and everything, I'm still not especially comfortable with catching him and being in charge of riding, so off we went to find Spencer, and riding horses happens to be his specialty.
First up was Reese. Reesie LOVED it! The was her first official ride on a horse, and on Mr Jackpot for that matter (no size discrimination here) In fact, I just couldn't keep up with the trot they had going, so Reese (I) needed to take a break.
Next up, Hartley! She was a little uncertain at first, but once Jackpot started moving, she loved it!
Reese with Uncle Cavan. Where's Ella? Well, she was sure she didn't need to go for a ride, and kept venturing into the barn to look for cats. Finally, we coaxed her onto Jackpot's back, telling her that she should sit with Reese and help her.
