Oh what a beautiful day! Even with the chilly breeze, the sunshine pushed his way through and made it a perfect morning to get out and play.
Sweet sisters snuggling
Our adventure begins. You see, our yard is huge, but all fenced off. (I'd like to say that it keeps Ella contained, but she's been known to wander off here and there). When I'm with her however, she really likes to go exploring. Eating their morning snack were some horses and the sheep. The sheep instantly run away because of the big bad dog (who, by the way, is starting to de-skunk) but the horses linger...
Our main goal is to go see Jackpot, Ella's little pony. He knows what happens when we come around though, and so do his buddies. Today, they're a little less lovey dovey with us and are looking for the loot: cake.
Not the chocolate cake you're thinking of, but a yummy concoction for livestock that includes molasses, grains, and other minerals. They come in a pellet form which happens to be just perfect for Ella's mittened hands to feed.
And yes, Jackpot is a super nice little pony, but too much cake and not enough riding makes any horse a little big for his britches. Because this mama is still a little leary of juggling miss Reese and making sure Ella's safe and sound riding, we'll just stick to visiting. (I did tell Spencer he should go and ride Jackpot just to keep him in line... I'll most definitely post pictures if this does ever happen.)
And off they ran after they realized they had drained all the treats. Little Jackpot just cracks me up!
OHHHH! "Thatsa way boys." SOOO CUTE!!! Maybe one day Ella and Reese can share some pony love with a very jealous Hartley Mai!!!
