Big Green Tractor

No, these aren't from today. Today is rainy, snowy, cold and wet. In fact, Ella didn't even want to play outside today, which is a first.

These are from the beginning of September, when Reese was still just a little squirt, the days were long and hot, and Ella loved visiting Daddy in the wheat fields.

I have always loved the changing of the seasons. There is something about the transition of nature that really inspires me to... well, I'm not sure yet. Currently it's getting my laundry done. But for some reason the change gives me a nice breath of fresh air. I love the fall season at the ranch -- things slow down a bit, Spencer's always home like clockwork for lunch and dinner, nights are a little quieter, and scenically, the ranch turns beautiful shades of orange, red, and gold.

Unless we're skipping fall altogether here. With rain turning to snow and the wind howling, makes me wish that the transition would have been a tad slower. But I'm not complaining, it will just take us a bit longer to bundle up and venture outside.

But I sure did enjoy our harvest this year. Warmest wishes for a happy fall!
