Swathin' sweetie

What's a girl to do on a hot August day? Why, go swathing with her daddy, that's what!

Of course, they pack the essentials: Horsey, blanky, juice boxes, fruit snacks, granola bars, and a couple yummy suckers.

They've got the radio blasting country tunes, their trusty pup Leroy snoozing on the floor, and miles and miles of hay that needs to be cut. Occassionally they spot a fawn and her mama hiding in the field, or they watch antelope race across the mountainside. For the most part I can imagine a quiet Spencer, listening to his very busy and talkative daughter, discussing a wide range of issues, from her kitties to swimming to the golden rules: no coloring on the windows, no throwing bananas, and no shaking Reese's crib.

Oh just wait Spencer -- next year, you'll have TWO excited girls to keep you company during haying season.
