Pretty pretty Princess

My sisters are oh so smart: they came to the ranch on Thursday evening bearing gifts. Needless to say, Ella was so happy to tear into them, and especially with an audience so big, was very enthusiastic about her and her little sis's new books and clothes.

"Oh!" She'd exclaim. "Oh cute!" But when she laid her eyes on one particular package, tied up with a pretty bow and a sparkly wand, she said, "Oh beautiful!"

And out she unfolded a beautiful princess dress with a pretty pink fluffy crown. She couldn't wait to get it on. With the perfect shoes to match, off she went for the rest of the night, waltzing around inside and out. She even avoided all the mud, water, and other gross things that usually creep their way onto the day's outfit.

Now, the wand has been quite multipurpose. It serves as a plaything for her kittens, of course. She also may have used it to separate her kitties just like her father would sort cattle. And, she also (very lightly) cast spells on her cousin Sadie Mae.

Thanks John (I'm sure you insisted on the princess costume) Emilie, Kristin, and Laura for thinking of us! You guys are way too nice!!
