AWESOME!

Even though the downpour gave us a slow start to our celebration, we couldn't have asked for a better evening.

The music and dancing were a definite highlight. (Laura, can you see her hippie wave and finger point dances? They were a crowd favorite.) It was like something out of a movie: Old cowboy tunes, front porch rocking chairs, and friends gathered humming along and reminiscing old stories and tales of generations past. It was wonderful.

And then of course were the fireworks. We had an early sparkler mishap {we learned that they were very "hot" on our fingers}, and so Ella was content with just snuggling up and ooh-ing the wonderful show our friends put on. Well, she snuggled until she and her partner in crime Ann Marie started saying "awesome" to all the fireworks. They really got the attention of the party which encouraged their enthusiasm even more.

What a wonderful celebration to end our busy weekend! Thanks to all our friends who celebrated with us!
