Belated thanks

Not too long ago, I met a wonderful man. When he became my boyfriend, I was head over heels in love with him. He was so kind and thoughtful, and so incredibly perfect (he even had the most beautiful eyes... I was in heaven!). He soon became my husband. It was when we said our vows that he transformed into something even better. He was my roommate and best friend and eased me into the transition from living the city life to the country life. He called me "babe" and spoiled me with a beautiful home and all executive decisions on decorating. We were so very happy.

But no one could've prepared me for the next change that occured: my honey became "Daddy". In the early morning hours, I saw my husband morph into a man that forever would have his heart wrapped around a spunky little girl named Ella. Of course he does silly things I would have never have imagined: the singing, dancing, and playing all for the delight of his daughter. He allows her sticky fingers on his computer screen and phone, and never is the least bit frustrated when the contents of his wallet are strewn across the bedroom floor. After a hard day's work, he crawls around on the floor with her, or reads her "one more" bedtime book as he covers his own yawn with his hand. He is so amazingly patient, and teaches her nice things to say like "yummy food mommy."

And without his hard work, I would not be able to fulfill my dream of being a homemaker, and enjoy the time raising our family and making our home the best it can possibly be.

So you could say that his two girls are very thankful for him. And we both miss him so very much! See you in a week babe!

Speaking of great fathers, I too owe my dad a big huge thank you for making me who I am today. I could not imagine my life without such a supportive dad.

And lucky for Ella, she not only has a great father, but TWO wonderful grandpas who will always be on her side. And even beyond her toddling years, she will learn from these guys what a real man is, and what to expect when she starts dating (probably not until she's 30 right Spencer?)

Thanks to all the wonderful men who are involved in children's lives. You make a world of difference!!
