What brings so much joy to a little girl's face?

Simple -- hose, dog, and daddy.

Last year, Leroy thoroughly entertained us by chasing the sprinkler back and forth, biting at the water. He'd do it all day, that is, if he had the day off from working cows. {And if you know Leroy, he likes his days off. They consist of walks with me and Ella, chasing birds and other animals out of the yard, and snoozing on his comfy papasan chair}

Ella likes to garden. She really likes to play with the hose. So on this particular day, Spencer came home to make a phone call, and on his way back to the tractor he picked up the hose and started spraying Leroy {and maybe me a couple times}.

It was really entertaining, but Daddy had to get back to work. So Ella gave it a try, with not much success.

Not to disappoint, Spencer came back for a little extra playtime.

After all, nothing beats the sound of a his little girl's laugh.
